Die Zeit in German. I enjoy reading about WWII and there are few that seem available in English that hahs such telling and potent views from the other side.

This stark rawness, which is perfectly congruent with the brutality of the Eastern Front, gives Rudel’s book authenticity. First book I’ve read in years. Rudel’s political demeanor subsequently alienated him from his former comrades, foremost Gadermann. Apart from some grumblings about operational decisions, he appears to have firmly believed in his fuhrer’s abilities, or if there was any real doubt in his mind – he does not express it here.
