I was thinking as a therapist as I read, and was amazed at how some of the “professionals” treated this poor boy, while his new dad had so many good ideas and instincts, and insights. I’ve actually been looking forward to seeing this story. The process of adoption is slow and deliberate, starting with regular visits to Dennis’s current group home, leading to day visits at Gerrold’s gerrood and outing together.
