Enemy Mine Series
Opening mid-action—mid-punch even, Enemy Mine lingyear with a soldier of Earth in hand to hand combat with an alien Drac after their fighter jets have crashed on the surface of an uninhabited planet. I really enjoyed reading this as Mjne am a fan of the film, and liked the insight the book gave on both characters from Davidage to the Drac he named Jerry and how they were first enemies to surviving together in the situation they were in.
For a story of this length 90 pages in my book it told a story rich in lessons, in nuance, and in rough emotion.
Want to Read saving…. It was well done. It encourages acceptance of other and genders without being preachy. They learn to understand each other. In it was produced as a science fiction film by Twentieth Century Fox. On the bad side, narration feels rushed very often – from enemies to romantic cuddling in just a few sentences, the dying of alien Jeriba “Jerry” Shigan, and Davidge’s investigation on Dracs’ planet to search for Jeriba’s child.
Successfully converting attitudes and worldviews, the novella is a success from a thematic point of view. This book is wonderful.

It’s a great read. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. For the most part, it was a lot like the novel, I lojgyear. Towering tidal waves, scarce food, and little wood for making fire, the harsh living conditions quickly force the two to cooperate or die.

Enemy Mine is worth comparing with the episode of UFO entitled Survival, were almost the same plot is used, expect that in the end the Alien is killed by the SHADO rescue party, before the astronaut can tell them he is a friend.

The element of relationship survival is another fascination, and this story covers that challenge I remember watching the movie years ago and fully enjoyed the process of lessons learned by the mutual enemies.

First I’ve heard of that. The alien, being hermaphrodite and pregnant, gives birth and dies, leaving the unfortunate man to guess longywar to bring it up. I’m not one who likes to read books which came to be movies, but this has been an exception and I’m glad I read it. In both versions of the Enemy Mine sequence, a human and Dracon soldier, caught in the bitter conflict occasioned by human expansion see Colonization of Other Worldsare isolated together on a primitive planet and must lonyear or die.

I read it over my lunch hour. I’ll have to skim the book to I minee the original paperback which is a novelization by Gerrold of the movie that was made of the short story by Longyear.
